Brand Kit

First-class brand management — create brands, import from URL, and enable editors to use brand assets automatically across microapps

1. Overview

Brand Kit is the marquee feature of Tiled v61.0.1. It gives organizations a centralized, administrator-managed system for defining brand standards — logos, colors, fonts, and typography — and making those assets automatically available to editors building microapps. Editors no longer need to manually source brand assets or configure typography from scratch; Brand Kit brings the right assets to them in the Builder.

2. What Brand Kit Includes

Brand Creation & Library Assignment (TD-6702)

Administrators create a brand record and assign it to one or more libraries. The brand record is the central container for all brand assets and settings.

Multiple Logos per Brand (TD-6703)

A brand can store multiple logo variants — primary, secondary, icon/mark, dark-mode logo — all accessible from the asset picker.

Brand Colors (TD-6704)

Brand color palettes defined at the brand level appear as the primary palette in the Builder color picker when a brand is active.

Brand Fonts (TD-6705)

Brand fonts are uploaded to the brand record and automatically available in the Builder font selector for microapps associated with the brand.

Brand Fonts Grouped in Font Dropdown (TD-6708)

Brand fonts appear as a distinct group at the top of the font dropdown, making them easy to identify and select.

Brand Logos via Asset Picker (TD-6709)

Brand logo variants are accessible directly from the asset picker in the Builder, eliminating the need to navigate a separate asset library.

Brand Import from URL — Brandfetch (TD-6707)

Administrators can import a brand by entering a company URL. Tiled retrieves publicly available brand logos, colors, and fonts automatically, reducing brand setup from hours to minutes.

Admin Typography Setup (TD-6841)

Administrators configure brand typography presets — Heading, Body, Caption, and custom presets — with the correct font family, weight, and size at the brand level.

Editors Use Brand Typography (TD-6861)

When a brand is active for a microapp, editors see typography presets in the text tile font selector. One click applies the correct font, weight, and size.

Library Admin Sets Default Brand (TD-6862)

Library administrators set a default brand for the library. All new microapps automatically use that brand's assets and typography without requiring manual selection.

Users Pick a Brand When Creating (TD-6863)

The microapp creation modal includes a brand selector. Creators can choose a brand or start without one, overriding the library default for the specific microapp.

Default Styles at Tile Creation (TD-6706)

When a brand is active, new tiles and screens are created with the brand's default colors and fonts already applied.

3. Setting Up Brand Kit

3.1 Create a Brand (Administrator)

1. Navigate to Library Settings > Brand Kit.

2. Click Create Brand.

3. Enter the brand name. To auto-import brand assets, enter the company website URL — Tiled will retrieve publicly available logos, colors, and fonts.

4. Review and supplement the imported assets with any official brand files.

5. Configure brand typography presets: Heading, Body, Caption, and any custom presets.

6. Assign the brand to one or more libraries.

7. Optionally, set this brand as the library default.

3.2 Use Brand Assets in the Builder (Editor)

8. Create a new microapp. If the library has a default brand, it is applied automatically.

9. To select a different brand, choose it from the brand selector in the creation modal.

10. Add a text tile. Brand typography presets appear at the top of the font selector.

11. Select a preset to apply the brand font, weight, and size in one step.

12. Brand colors appear as the primary palette in the color picker.

13. Brand logos are available in the asset picker.

4. Brand Import from URL

The brand import capability is powered by Brandfetch, which retrieves publicly available brand identity data from a company's website. Imported assets include logos (in available formats), brand colors, and font information. Administrators should review all imported assets and supplement with official brand files as needed, as the completeness of imported data varies by brand.
