# Engagement: Overall Activity
## Let’s walk through the Overall Activity page — the library-wide view of how your microapps are being used, who’s using them, and how your shared links are performing.
### **Overview**
The Overall Activity for a Tiled Library is found in the Engagement section. Every library will have an overview of Total Sessions, User Sessions, Non-user Sessions, and Completions which can be sorted by time frame and microapp. Additionally, the Overall Activity includes information about Tiled users and microapps that have been shared from the library.
### **Getting There**
Select Engagement in the Library navigation bar. The Overall Activity page is your default landing view. If your account has the Dashboard enabled, you’ll land there first — select Overall Activity from the Engagement navigation to reach this page.

The top section of the page shows four high-level numbers for the library. These update based on the filters you set. This information can be [exported into a csv](https://support.tiled.co/hc/en-us/articles/1500002218081).
| **Term** | **Definition** |
| --- | --- |
| **Total Sessions** | The sum of User Sessions and Non-User Sessions. Every time any microapp in the library was opened, by anyone, counts here. |
| **User Sessions** | The number of times a microapp was viewed by a logged-in Tiled user. |
| **Non-User Sessions** | The number of times a microapp was opened through a Direct or Public share link by someone who is not a logged-in Tiled user. |
| **Completions** | The number of completion events triggered across all microapps in the library. A completion event is configured per microapp in Microapp Settings: General. |

| **Pro Tip:** The Total Sessions number is the fastest health check on a library — but User Sessions vs. Non-User Sessions tells you something more useful: whether your microapps are being used internally by your team or externally by shared recipients. |

### **Filtering the Data**
The filter controls in the top right of the page let you narrow what you’re looking at. Filters apply to every section on the page simultaneously.
| **Filter** | **Options** |
| --- | --- |
| **Time frame** | Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days (default), Last Year. |
| **Microapp** | One specific microapp, or all microapps (default). Type to search by name. |

| **Heads Up:** The time frame and microapp filters you set apply globally to Users, Microapps, Latest User Activity, and Share Links sections all at once. Switching filters refreshes every section on the page simultaneously. |

### **Exporting**
Select Export CSV from the top right of the page to download the currently filtered data. The export reflects whatever time frame and microapp filter is active when you click Export.

| **Pro Tip:** Filter to a specific microapp before exporting if you only need data for one piece of content. The export comes back focused and easier to work with than an all-library export. |

### **User Analytics**
The Users section shows the total number of sessions per Tiled user in the library, across the filtered period. Select any user to open their individual User Engagement Analytics view, which shows their activity in detail.
| **Sort option** | **What it shows first** |
| --- | --- |
| **Most Sessions (default)** | Users with the most sessions at the top. |
| **Least Sessions** | Users with the fewest sessions at the top — useful for spotting who hasn’t engaged recently. |
| **Alphabetical** | Users sorted A – Z by name. |

The Microapps section shows the total number of sessions per microapp in the library across the filtered period. Select any microapp to open its Microapp Engagement Analytics view, where you can drill into page-level data, adaptive format performance, and individual viewer activity.
| **Sort option** | **What it shows first** |
| --- | --- |
| **Most Sessions (default)** | The most-viewed microapps at the top. |
| **Least Sessions** | The least-viewed microapps at the top. |
| **Alphabetical** | Microapps sorted A – Z by title. |

| **Try It Yourself:** Sort Microapps by Least Sessions, then set the filter to Last 30 days. Any microapps with zero sessions in the last month are candidates for review — they may need a refresh, better promotion, or archiving. |

### **Share Links**
The Share Links section appears below the Microapps section. It shows share link activity across the library and lets you export that data separately.

| **Pro Tip:** Create one share link per channel (LinkedIn, website, direct email campaign) and use the Share Links section to compare performance across channels in one view. |

### **Latest Activities**
The Latest Activities section shows activity across the library in reverse chronological order by user. It’s the fastest way to see what happened most recently across the library without drilling into a specific user or microapp. Select any user from this list to open their User Engagement Analytics view.[](https://support.tiled.co/hubfs/Overall%20Activity%20Callouts-latest_activities.png)
### **My Activity**
Your personal activity — sessions and engagement from the share links you’ve sent — is in the My Activity tab. Select My Activity at the top of the Overall Activity page to switch to that view. See Engagement: My Activity for a full walkthrough.

### **Classic View - Builder 1.0**
The top right part of the Engagement tab will show a high-level view of usage in a Tiled library. You can filter engagement analytics by microapp(s) over a specific time frame such as Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days (default) or Last Year. | Total Sessions | The sum of User Sessions and Non-User Sessions. |
| User Sessions | The number of times a microapp has been viewed by a logged-in Tiled User. |
| Non-user sessions | The number of sessions a direct or public microapp link has been viewed by a non Tiled user. |
| Completions | The number of completion events across all microapps in a library. |
### User Analytics
The user Analytics section shows the aggregate number of sessions each user in a library has. You can click into each user to access the User Engagement Analytics. This list can be sorted by Most Sessions (default), Least Sessions, and Alphabetical.

### Microapp Analytics
The microapps Analytics sections shows the aggregate number of sessions by microapp. You can click into each microapp to access the [Microapp Engagement Analytics](https://support.tiled.co/hc/en-us/articles/1500003080142) view. This list can be sorted by Most Sessions (default), Least Sessions, and Alphabetical.

### Latest User Activity
The latest user activity will show activity in the library in chronological order by user. This is a helpful view to see the most recent types of activity happening in a library. You can click into each user to access the User Engagement Analytics.

### My Activity

### **Common Questions**
| **Question** | **Answer** |
| --- | --- |
| **What counts as a session?** | A session is one viewing of a microapp — someone opening and engaging with it. A single person opening the same microapp on two separate occasions counts as two sessions. |
| **What’s the difference between a User Session and a Non-User Session?** | User Sessions are from logged-in Tiled users. Non-User Sessions are from anyone who opened a microapp through a share link without being logged into Tiled — external recipients, prospects, customers. |
| **Why don’t my filters carry over between pages?** | The time frame and microapp filters on the Overall Activity page apply only while you’re on that page. When you click into a specific microapp or user, that view has its own filter controls. |
| **Where is the Export CSV option?** | In the top right corner of the Overall Activity page. Export exports the current filtered data. For share link data specifically, there’s also an Export option inside the Share Links section itself. |
| **Can I see which specific links drove the most engagement?** | Yes — the Share Links section shows per-link data. For named-recipient link data, check Engagement Analytics under individual users or the direct share link records. |
| **What is a Completion?** | A completion event is a configurable trigger set per microapp in Microapp Settings: General. When a viewer meets the condition (typically a time-on-page threshold), a completion is logged. Completions in Overall Activity show the total across all microapps in the library. |
