How To Add States

States allow you to nest similar pages together without taking up space in the pages section on the left-hand side of the builder.  States are a great way to organize the pages a hotspot links to if the page design is consistent and the hotspots are highlighting different information.  When states are added to a page, they will be seen as smaller ‘sub-pages’ under the main page.

  • Navigate to your main page
  • Take the page you want to make into a state and drag it from the page list on the left, to the area underneath the main page where is says, “add State”
  • On the original page, create your hotspot and link it to the state that you just created.
  • You can now add a hotspot to the state to link back up to the main page.  This links the two pages together so a user can toggle back and forth.

Notes

  • States can only be linked to their primary page and to other sister states
  • States can be created by adding from the plus sign under a canvas, or converting an existing page to a state from the right sidebar. This will make it a state of the page above it in order in the left sidebar.

  • States are not accessible from the left sidebar and are only available below the canvas of the primary page.
