Our engineering team has been hard at work the past few months to move our data and analytics from a 3rd party provider to our in-house team. This shift will allow us to grow with our customers and more easily meet various reporting and analytics needs. It will also allow us to better respond to technical issues and needs around the data in Tiled.
We are asking all customers and users of the Tiled Native App to update their iOS / Android to version 2.16.3 or above by the week of Feb. 24th, 2020 to ensure continued accuracy and consistency in reporting and avoid any unforeseen issues in the app itself. (no software/browser updates are required when accessing your Tiled account on your desktop. We do however, recommend always using the latest version of Chrome, Safari or Firefox for the best user experience).
If the Tiled App is not updated by the week of Feb. 24th, 2020; users will receive a ‘forced update’ preventing them from using the Tiled App until that device has been updated. While we are confident this ‘forced update’ will be applied to most versions of the Tiled App, there is a small possibility that much older versions may not receive this update. Due to this, we are encouraging all users with Tiled accounts to proactively update their device.
To confirm the current version of your Tiled App, log into your Tiled account and click on your profile in the bottom, right-hand corner.
The version number can be found on the bottom left of your profile page next to the Tiled icon:
To update apps individually or in bulk using the Google Play Store app on your mobile device:
- Open the Google Play Store app .
- Tap Menu My apps & games.
- Games with an update available are labeled "Update." You can also search for a specific game.
- Tap Update.
Note: Some apps require new permissions when they are updated. You may see a notification asking if you accept the new permissions.
Tip: In some cases, you may need to restart your device to update an app.
- Open the App Store, then tap Today at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap your profile icon at the top of the screen.
- Scroll down to see pending updates and release notes. Tap Update next to an app to update only that app, or tap Update All.
