How to Add Tags When Publishing a Microapp

This guide explains how to add tags to a microapp when you publish it — for both new and existing microapps — so your content is organized without a separate tagging step afterward.

Tags can be added right from the Publish modal, whether you're publishing a microapp for the first time or republishing an existing one. This means you no longer need to navigate back to the Library after publishing to apply tags — you can tag your content in the same flow where you're already publishing.

Adding Tags When You Publish

Whether you're publishing a brand-new microapp or republishing changes to an existing one, the Publish modal includes the option to add tags before you confirm.

  1. When you're ready to publish, click Publish.
  2. In the Publish modal, locate the Tags field and type or select the tags you want to apply.
  3. Confirm and publish. Your tags are saved with the microapp.

Tip: Tagging at publish time is the easiest way to keep your Library organized — it takes a few seconds and means your microapp is ready to find and filter from the moment it goes live.

Common Questions

Can I still manage tags from the Library view?
Yes — the Library management view remains available for bulk tagging or updating tags across multiple microapps. The Publish modal is an additional entry point, not a replacement for the existing Library tagging workflow.

Do I have to add tags when I publish?
No — the Tags field in the Publish modal is optional. You can skip it and add tags later from the Library.

Who can add and edit tags?
Any user with Editor access or above can add or update tags at publish time.
