Bug Fix Bulletin — v59.0.0
Resolved defects in hotspot copy/paste and background rendering — April 2025
1. Purpose & Scope
This bulletin documents the defect resolutions shipped in Tiled v59.0.0. It serves as the formal record of corrective actions taken, supporting SOC 2 CC7.4 (incident response) requirements for evidence that identified deficiencies were remediated in a timely manner.
2. Defect Resolution Record
|
Area |
Defect Summary |
Resolution |
|
Builder 2.0 |
Hotspot copy/paste reverted link changes |
Copying and pasting a hotspot tile that had a click event or link configured was reverting the link to its previous state, discarding any updates made before the copy. The copy/paste operation now correctly preserves all current link and click event configurations on hotspot tiles. |

Builder 2.0 — Backgrounds |
Background rendering for sub-pages and scroll states (multiple issues) |
A series of background rendering defects affecting sub-pages and scroll states have been resolved. Backgrounds were failing to render correctly in specific configurations involving nested scroll states and sub-page transitions. All known background rendering scenarios — including nested scrolls, parallel scroll states, and sub-page backgrounds — have been reviewed and corrected as part of this fix bundle. |
3. Background Rendering — Testing Scope
Due to the breadth of the background rendering fix, the following scenarios should receive additional testing coverage in the v59.0.0 QA cycle:
- Sub-pages with custom background images or colors — verify backgrounds render correctly in Preview, Viewer, and Share Link.
- Scroll states with background overrides — verify backgrounds render at each scroll state transition.
- Nested scroll states — verify that inner and outer scroll backgrounds do not bleed or conflict.
- 1.0 and 2.0 microapps — verify background rendering is consistent across both builder versions.
4. Audit Evidence
For SOC 2 CC4.2 (evaluation of control deficiencies), the following is noted:
- The hotspot copy/paste defect caused data integrity loss at the tile configuration level. No customer data or content was lost. The defect affected only in-Builder editing workflow state.
- The background rendering defects affected visual output in Preview, Viewer, and Share Link contexts. No personal data or security controls were involved.
- Both defects were identified through internal QA processes and resolved within the v59.0.0 release cycle.
