Overview

The personalization viewer and editor is designed for sales and enablement teams who need to customize microapps quickly while maintaining brand consistency. 1. Getting Started | Access Personalization & Create an Instance

To start personalizing, navigate to your library to view all microapps available for customization. Select a microapp that has personalization fields enabled by your creative team, then click "Create New Instance" from the menu. Name your instance with a descriptive title that helps you identify the prospect or campaign, then click "Save & Continue" to enter the personalization viewer.

2. Editor View

A. Interface & Navigation

Understanding the Interface

The microapp menu contains all essential tools in one place:

  • Back to Library: Returns you to your microapp library

  • Microapp Name: Displays the current microapp title for reference

  • Create New Instance: Generates additional personalized versions

  • Fullscreen: Expands to full browser view for detailed editing

  • Adaptive Sizes: Toggles between desktop and mobile views

  • Share: Provides distribution options once all required fields are completed

To open a different microapp, click on the microapp name and select 'open a different microapp' from the dropdown. A modal appears showing your library with thumbnails and names for easy selection without leaving the viewer.

B. Instance Management

Understanding how instances work helps you stay organized:

  • Default Instance serves as your starting point with placeholder content

  • New Instance creates separate versions for different prospects while preserving your original work

The selection modal organizes your work with category groupings, search functionality, and filtering between 'all instances' and 'my instances' for better organization.

3. Personalization Features

3.1 - Working with the All Fields Panel

Your personalization control center operates with several key features:

  • Expanded by default to show every customizable element at once

  • Reduced sizing to maximize canvas space while keeping all tools accessible

  • Hover highlighting that connects field names to their canvas locations

  • Progress indicators that track completion with visual checkmarks and dynamic counters

  • Real-time updates that reflect your changes immediately as you work

  • Red bounding boxes now appear around required fields on the canvas for easier identification

3.2 - Field Types and How to Use Them

Text Personalization: Text changes happen instantly with full visual feedback. Changes appear on the canvas as you type and format preservation maintains typography and styling established by your creative team.

Image Personalization: Image replacement offers three options through dropdown menus:

  • Upload new files directly from your device

  • Choose from your organization's approved asset library

  • Paste image URLs for web-based content

Changes to specific image fields, like logos, update universally across all pages, and visual checkmarks confirm completion.

Video Personalization: Video replacement maintains the same ease of use as images. Hover CTAs appear when you mouse over video elements, multiple format support accommodates various video types and sources, and thumbnail previews help you identify content in the selection interface.

3.3 - All Fields vs. Required Fields View

All Fields View gives you comprehensive control over every personalizable element in the microapp, organized page by page. Use this approach when you want maximum personalization impact and have time for detailed customization.

Required Fields View streamlines the process by showing only the fields your creative team marked as mandatory. Progress tracking with completion counts keeps you on track, and the streamlined workflow eliminates distractions. Required fields now display with improved visual indicators including red bounding boxes for easier identification.

Default vs. Page View Organization

Default Personalization Viewer organizes fields by type rather than location, giving you comprehensive access in a single interface. This approach works best for multi-page personalizations where you're customizing content throughout the entire microapp.

Page View organizes work by microapp structure, showing only page thumbnails that contain personalization fields. Targeted customization allows you to focus on specific sections, making this approach efficient for section-specific personalizations.

4. Edit Modes

  1. Standard Panel Editing

The personalization viewer opens with the all fields panel expanded by default, providing your primary method for customizing content. This standard view gives you complete control and clear progress tracking as you work through each field systematically. All the view options (All Fields vs. Required Fields, Default vs. Page View) operate within this standard panel interface.

  2. Inline Editing Mode

For a more intuitive experience, you can hide the personalization viewer and edit directly on the canvas. Direct canvas editing feels natural and similar to presentation software, while a dedicated page navigation panel on the left shows only pages with personalizable fields for easier movement between relevant sections. Field labels on hover identify personalizable areas when you mouse over them, and replace CTAs appear for media elements when you hover over images or videos.

This approach offers a larger canvas view and contextual field identification through hover states, eliminating guesswork about what can be customized.

5. Quality Control & Sharing

The system enforces completion standards automatically to maintain brand consistency. You cannot share incomplete content because sharing remains blocked until all required fields are completed.

When you attempt to share with incomplete required fields, a modal notification appears listing exactly what needs attention. This modal allows you to quickly input content and share directly without having to search for remaining fields in the builder, streamlining the completion process.

Visual feedback keeps you informed throughout the personalization process with indicators that display field completion status, dynamic counters that update in real-time, and page-level progress tracking for large microapps.

Once all required fields are complete, sharing works exactly as it always has, with direct distribution available immediately from the personalization viewer.

6. Best Practices | Workflow, Brand Standards & Speed Optimization

Efficient Workflow: Start with required fields to ensure compliance and avoid sharing blocks. Use the asset library for approved materials rather than uploading new content. Name instances clearly with prospect or campaign identifiers for future reference, and preview before sharing to catch any visual issues.

Maintaining Brand Standards: Use approved assets from the integrated library to ensure brand compliance. Follow field guidelines for character limits and formatting that preserve brand voice, and maintain microapp structure while personalizing content.

Speed Optimization: Create microapps for common prospect types or industry verticals. Reuse successful instances as starting points for similar prospects, and save frequently used assets to your library for quick access.
