How Tiled separates what administrators control from what sellers edit

Overview

A Tiled Administrator builds and controls the template: layout, brand, and approved content. Sellers edit only the fields the administrator has designated. Everything else stays locked.

What Administrators Control

Template structure

The overall layout, page order, and design of the presentation. Sellers cannot add, remove, or reorder pages.

Personalization fields

Administrators designate specific tiles as personalizable. Text, image, video, and URL tiles are all options. Everything not designated stays locked.

Required vs. optional fields

Fields marked as required must be completed before the seller can share. Required fields are highlighted visually in the viewer.

Brand assets

Logos, color palettes, and typography defined in Brand Kit apply across all templates in the library automatically.

What Sellers Customize

Sellers edit only the fields the administrator has designated. Those fields cover:

Text: customer name, company, rep name, role, and custom messaging

Images: customer logo, product screenshot, or account-specific photo

Videos: a customer-specific recording in place of a generic demo clip

URLs: links to customer-specific resources or portals

Personalization Workflow

1. Open the shared template link.

2. Required fields are highlighted. Complete them first, then fill in any optional fields.

3. Content updates live on the canvas as each field is completed.

4. Share directly from the viewer, or save to the library first.

Can our team create templates as needed?

Tiled provides the software. Your team builds templates and designs. Administrators create and manage templates. Sellers use and personalize them within the boundaries the administrator sets.

Are templates pre-built or do we design them?

Your team designs them. Tiled is design-tool agnostic. Most customers bring content from Figma or Adobe into Tiled, then add interactivity, publish, and share in Tiled.

Can the customer name be personalized?

Yes. Administrators designate any text field as personalizable. The customer name is one of the most common examples.

What types of content can be personalized?

Text, images, videos, and URLs. The administrator decides which specific tiles sellers can edit.

Can sellers add their own pages or content?

No. Sellers work within the template the administrator created. Only designated personalization fields are editable.
