# Share a Microapp from the Tiled App
## Let’s walk through sharing a microapp directly from the Tiled mobile app — so you can send to a customer, open a share link, or kick off a personalized message right from your phone or tablet, without opening a browser or the desktop Builder.
### **Before You Start**
Make sure the microapp you want to share has been published. Unpublished microapps are visible to team members with Builder access but can’t be shared externally. If you’re not sure whether it’s published, open it in the app and look for the cover image at full color — a faded cover means it hasn’t been downloaded or published yet.[](https://support.tiled.co/hubfs/Share%20from%20Tiled%20App%20Callouts-1-before-you-start.png)

### **How to Share a Microapp [](https://support.tiled.co/hubfs/tiled-app-share-steps@2x.png)**
1\. **Pinch out on your screen** — from your Tiled Library, pinch two fingers outward on the microapp you want to share. This reveals the sharing controls for that microapp.
2\. **Select Share** — in the top right corner of the microapp view that appears.
3\. **Enter your recipient’s information** — type in the recipient's name and email address or phone number, then tap **Share** to send.
4\. **Choose how to deliver it** — select a channel to share through, or copy the link to use wherever you like.

| **Channel** | **What It Does** |
| --- | --- |
| **Email** | Opens your device’s default email app with the share link pre-populated. |
| **Text message** | Opens your device’s messaging app with the link ready to send. |
| **LinkedIn** | Opens LinkedIn to share as a post or direct message. |
| **Copy link** | Copies the share link to your clipboard so you can paste it anywhere — a personal email, a chat app, or any other platform. |
| **Pro Tip:** Copy link gives you the most flexibility if you want to send through a channel that isn’t listed, like WhatsApp, Slack, or a CRM message template. |

**Sharing From a Template**

The app also offers a Share from Template option. This lets you include a personalized message that your recipient sees when they open your share link — useful for adding context or a warm introduction without writing a separate email.
| **Pro Tip:** A short, specific personalized message in Share from Template performs better than a generic one. Mention something relevant to the recipient — a recent conversation, their company, or the specific topic the microapp covers. |

### **Engagement Tracking**
Links shared from the Tiled app are tracked the same way as links generated on desktop. In your Tiled Library, open **Engagement Analytics** to see engagement data for any share — including when the recipient first opened it, how many times they returned, and which pages they spent the most time on.
**Common Questions**
| **Question** | **Answer** |
| --- | --- |
| **Do I need to be online to share from the app?** | Yes. Sending a share link or generating a new one requires an internet connection. If you’re offline, you can still present a downloaded microapp, but sharing creates a new link that needs to reach Tiled’s servers. |
| **What’s the difference between sharing from the app and sharing from the desktop?** | The end result is the same — a tracked share link tied to the recipient. The app is designed for quick in-the-field sharing; the desktop share modal (via the library or post-publish) offers more configuration options like public links, SubTags, and access controls. |
| **Can I send to multiple recipients at once from the app?** | Yes. Enter multiple recipients in the recipient field at step 3 — separate each entry by a comma or by pressing Return. Each recipient gets their own individually tracked link. |
| **Is the Share from Template option the same as personalization?** | **Share from Template** controls the introductory message a recipient sees when they first open the share link — a personal note from you. **Microapp personalization** is a separate feature that customizes the content of the microapp itself for a specific viewer, and is managed in the Builder. |
| **Will engagement from app shares appear in my analytics?** | Yes. Links shared from the mobile app appear in Engagement Analytics alongside shares made on desktop. There’s no separate mobile analytics view. |
