Pathway Insights Backend

Backend infrastructure supporting session notification deep links and future analytics capabilities

1. Purpose & Scope

This article documents the Pathway Insights Backend infrastructure component, released in Tiled v60.0.0. This backend foundation supports the deep-link capability in session notifications (surfaced through the Notification Center) and provides the architectural layer for future pathway analytics features.

Scope: This is an internal infrastructure component. It is not directly user-configurable. This article is intended for technical administrators, compliance auditors, and teams maintaining system architecture documentation.

2. What This Component Does

The Pathway Insights Backend serves two functions in v60.0.0:

  •   Session Notification Deep Links — provides the data routing that allows session notifications in the Notification Center (KB-v60-02) to link directly to the relevant Pathway Analytics view for the microapp associated with the session event.
  •   Future Analytics Foundation — establishes the backend scaffolding for expanded pathway-level analytics features planned for future releases. No additional functionality is exposed to end users in this release.

Note: This component is not a standalone user-facing feature. Its effects are visible through the Notification Center session notification deep-link behavior documented in KB-v60-02.

3. Audit & Infrastructure Evidence

For SOC 2 audit purposes, the following is relevant to this component:

  •   The Pathway Insights Backend was deployed as part of the v60.0.0 release, following Tiled's standard change management process.
  •   No customer data schema changes are introduced by this component in v60.0.0.
  •   The component operates within Tiled's existing cloud infrastructure security boundary, inheriting all platform-level security controls (encryption at rest, TLS in transit, IAM-enforced access).
