Seismic Export API — Builder 2.0 Format Compatibility
Seismic Export API updated to send Builder 2.0 export files to downstream Seismic systems
This article documents the Seismic Export API update shipped in Tiled v58.0.0. With Builder 2.0 now the default creation experience and Scroll States fully supported in 2.0, the Seismic Export API has been updated to produce and send Builder 2.0 format export packages to downstream Seismic systems, replacing the prior Builder 1.0 format output.
Scope: Tiled customers using the Seismic integration for microapp content distribution. Tiled Library Administrators and Integration Engineers responsible for the Seismic connection.
2. Control Objective
The control objective is to ensure that microapp content exported from Tiled to Seismic via the Export API is transmitted in the Builder 2.0 format, preserving all Builder 2.0 features — including Scroll States, adaptive formats, and 2.0 tile configurations — in the export package received by Seismic.
3. What Changed|
Before v58.0.0 |
The Seismic Export API produced Builder 1.0 format export packages, regardless of whether the source microapp was a Builder 2.0 microapp. Builder 2.0 features were lost or degraded in the export. |
|
After v58.0.0 |
The Seismic Export API produces Builder 2.0 format export packages for Builder 2.0 microapps. All Builder 2.0 features — including Scroll States — are included in the export. |
|
1.0 Microapps |
Microapps that remain in Builder 1.0 format continue to export as 1.0 packages. The format is determined by the source microapp's builder version. |
4. Integration Impact
Tiled customers with active Seismic integrations should validate the following after the v58.0.0 update:
39. Trigger an export of a Builder 2.0 microapp to Seismic via the Export API.
40. Confirm the export package received by Seismic is in the 2.0 format.
41. Open the exported microapp in the Seismic viewer and verify all Builder 2.0 features — including Scroll States — render and function correctly.
42. Validate that existing Builder 1.0 exports continue to function correctly for any microapps not yet migrated to 2.0.
|
Note: Custom Seismic close icons for Tiled microapps were also corrected in this release (TD-6600, included in KB-v58-05 Bug Fix Bulletin). This fix was also shipped in the 58.0.1 HUB hotfix for urgent Seismic customer issues. |
5. Audit Evidence
• The Seismic Export API change is a data transmission control update under SOC 2 CC6.7 (Transmission of Data). The update ensures exported packages are complete and accurately represent the source microapp.
• CC9.2 (Vendor & Third-Party Risk): the Seismic integration transmits Tiled microapp data to a third-party system. This update ensures transmission fidelity as the platform evolves to Builder 2.0.
